I’m often asked what I do. I smile sweetly and tell those around me that I’m an Inbound Marketer. Often getting a blank look back. On occasion, I will get someone who actually asks what that is.
By definition is promoting a company through blogs, podcasts, video, eBooks, newsletters, whitepapers, SEO, physical products, social media marketing, and other forms of content marketing which serve to attract customers through the different stages of the purchase funnel.
My definition is a little easier to understand. Inbound Marketing is growing a company’s authority in what they do by educating others of what they really do. We use social media, blogging, and e-books to tell the story about the company and how they can help you with your needs.
We educate those looking for more information about an issue in their life or business that they need answers for. Our goal in inbound marketing is to help you find the right solution for you, even if it is not through us. Because we are often an authority in what we do we also know what the competition is doing. And if I do not fit your need it is very likely I know someone who could better help you. I am not afraid to send you somewhere else if that is the best place for you.
See for those using Inbound Marketing we want a good fit not just a customer. It’s not about quantity its’s about quality. I want to give you the best fit for your needs. If I’m not a good fit I will point you in the right direction.
